Organic Valley Ghee (Clarified Butter) is made from Certified Organic butter from pasture-raised cows. Organic Valley slowly simmers their clarified Ghee to coax the excess water out while preserving the nutritional benefits of pasture-raised organic butter. In the process, some of the Ghee's milk solids will caramelize, leaving behind hints of sweetness and roasted nuts. Ghee is best used in cooking, baking, or sauteing as it resists smoking at high temperatures. Just a little Ghee gives a rich, buttery flavor to all your favorite dishes.
