Sensato Allulose is a low calorie sugar that occurs naturally in small quantities in foods like figs, raisins and maple syrup. It is a monosaccharide, or simple sugar, that is absorbed by the body, but not metabolized so it is nearly calorie-free ... giving you all of the taste but none of the "waist". Allulose is not recognized by the body as a carbohydrate.
Allulose measures cup for cup, just like sugar, and can be used in all your low carb baking. Allulose has the same taste and texture as sugar without all of the calories. Although Allulose is approximately 70% as sweet as regular table sugar, you may not notice much of a difference in the sweetness. We suggest using cup for cup like sugar in your recipes and adjust as needed.
